The Arts University Bournemouth is a specialist provider of high quality teaching, learning and scholarship in arts, design, architecture, media and performance.  It was awarded ‘Gold’ status in the recent Teaching Excellence Framework assessment and is recognised internationally as a professional arts university.
Following a period of growth and development, we now welcome applications for this senior post. 
This Dean post is dedicated to capturing, developing and promoting teaching, learning, scholarship, research and knowledge transfer consistent with the University’s strategic plan. In addition, you will have oversight of student services provision and a range of facilities which support and enhance the student experience to include the Library, Gallery, Museum and a range of digital services. 
Working with an established and experienced staff team, the postholder has overarching responsibility for the promotion of excellent research and its practical application within the AUB course portfolio. The vision to become distinctive for our maker culture and leadership in creative learning aligns with high levels of student satisfaction and contributes to the overall student experience.  Reporting to the Deputy Vice Chancellor, the Dean will be a member of the University Management Team.
